I will dominate 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
